What is Thai Massage?

Traditional Thai Massage incorporates deep assisted stretches, targeted muscle therapy and acupressure for a total body, mind & spirit reset. Thai Massage works the fascia system, a dynamic body system that we are still researching and learning about.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is more than just connective tissue. It's a responsive body system that holds memory, emotion, posture and pain patterns. It wraps between and around every part of the body. It's affected by movement, hydration and pressure, and restrictions can be just as painful as muscle injury.

How does

Acupressure work?

Acupressure as applied in Thai Massage follows myofascial Sen lines (Anatomy Trains), the connective network of tissue between major muscles. Using pressure to stimulate and decompress fascia, it can make changes throughout the body.

How is Thai different than Swedish Massage?

The receiver remains clothed and lays down on a cushioned, warm floor mat to receive massage. The therapist applies acupressure along myofascial Sen lines, then guides the body through a series of deep compressions and passive stretches.

What are the benefits?

Benefits include reduced pain, better posture & body alignment, improved movement patterns & balance, enhanced flexibility and increased energy. May also decrease stress, improve lymph flow and boost immune system. Many clients report fast, effective & lasting results.
